1986 Isuzu Trooper II on OPC

One of my favorite blogs, Old Parked Cars, recently posted this beauty! I just had to re-blog it.
I really wish Isuzu would have kept the old two door long wheelbase platform until 1991.  There's something about the two door versions that give the old Troopers that classic, old-school feel.
The long wheel base two doors were considered "wagons", and I think appropriately so.  There's really nothing "sporty" about a Trooper, so to call them SUVs is a bit of an oxymoron in my opinion.
And this is one of those rare occasions where I think preserving the original paint and worn patina would be the right thing to do.  This (burnt) orange on tan with brown accents suits the vehicle perfectly; a color combination you just don't see any more.
I would love to own one of these someday.
